What is LUPUS?

LUPUS is a chronic, lifelong autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system attacks and destroys healthy cells, tissues, and organs. The body's immune system cannot tell the difference between viruses, bacteria, germs nor healthy cells, tissues, or organs. Lupus can cause inflammation, swelling, and damage to the joints, skin, kidneys, blood, heart, lungs, and cause hair loss.
